NarrowBoat Art was started as an excuse not to polish the brass and copper in my home. As a coach driver I had seen narrow boats at destinations like Oxford and Stratford and therefore attempted to paint the brass and copper in the style that I had seen on my travels.
Luckily for me, my partner Viv liked what I had painted and this continued to a point whereby we ran out of space to display the items I had painted.
This lead to local craft fairs whereby I could display my work and hopefully sell a few items. Unfortunately as I live in Sussex on the coast with the English Channel, narrow boats are not seen very often.
